The Lifegain Health Culture Audit
(Wellness Survey) measures norms and values
related to major
wellness themes such as self-responsibility, healthy fun, mutual respect, and
achieving one's full potential. In addition, the survey examines peer support
and organizational support systems that can make or break
employee efforts to adopt healthier and more productive practices. Each Lifegain
Health Culture Audit
examines work climate factors such as sense of community, shared vision and
positive outlook. A Health Behavior Profile examines health risk behavior such as
work-life balance and smoking. Additional survey questions may be included to assess program satisfaction,
barriers to participation and employee preferences regarding the format and
content of future wellness programming. Extensive reports create a picture of
both employee well-being and the health of your corporate culture. This Lifegain
Health Culture Audit even provides basic financial forecast tools designed
to determine the economic impact of your efforts. Results
can be broken down by demographic and employment groups.

The Lifegain Health Culture Audit
(Health Promotion Survey) is a tool for planning and evaluating health promotion
efforts. This version of the Lifegain Health Culture Audit
assesses the level of cultural support for avoiding health risk
behavior. It
examines five cultural factors--values,
norms, organizational support, peer support and climate--that influence employees’ abilities to maintain positive health
practices such as regular exercise, stress management and low-fat
diets. The survey also examines those aspects of the culture that
influence unhealthy lifestyle choices such as smoking, excess drinking
and an imbalance between work, rest and play.
The
25-question survey asks employees to indicate their level of agreement
that their work group supports healthy lifestyles. The multiple-choice
survey can be completed in less than 5 minutes. Responses are keyed in
directly online or you can
print out copies of the one-page survey and have a member of your team
enter the data. A 20-page+ Lifegain Health
Culture Audit Report shares specific recommendations useful for
creating healthier and more productive cultures. And, the report
discusses the validity and reliability of survey
findings. View Survey.
An independent study of the Lifegain Health Culture Audit's
was published in The American Journal of Health Studies,
Volume 23, Number 3, 2008, pages 116-124. Data from 55
western New York companies showed strong evidence of
internal consistency as well as construct and criterion
validity.
The cost of the survey and report is
$5,000. Sub-reports and multi-year comparisons
are $500 each. Data scanning is available for $1 per survey.
Please call to schedule the survey at (800) 800-3004. Outside the U.S., call

The
Lifegain Health Culture Audit Presentation examines
survey results. Findings from the Lifegain
Health Culture Audit provide an important baseline for efforts to create
cultural support for healthy lifestyles and productivity. In order to take
advantage of this information, it will be necessary to develop an
awareness of what the results mean and how they can guide future
actions. During the half-day presentation key culture change
principles and a culture change framework are presented. Participants
develop specific action plans for bringing about lasting and positive
culture change.
The seminar is lead by Judd Allen, Ph.D. The cost is
$2,000 plus travel expenses from Vermont. The recommended seminar size is between
8 and 50 participants. Resource
materials are $10 per participant. A 50%
deposit is needed to reserve a seminar date. Call (802) 862-8855 or write Info@healthyculture.com to
