Purpose People join associations to exchange information and to increase their sense of belonging. The Association Commonspokes Directory dramatically increases the sense of community and communication among association members by making it easy for people to get to know each other better and by linking people with common association-related interests. In addition, this Commonspokes Directory provides feedback useful for planning association events and services.

Features At the core of each Commonspokes Directory is a secure database of the history and interests of association members. A Commonspokes Directory is created when association members complete an online questionnaire that has been tailored to explore their interests. Participants also have the option of uploading a photo.  The software uses information from the questionnaire to instantly generate listing pages. Participants can then search the database to view listing pages or to identify people who share common interests. Personal information can be easily updated online.

Those with an administrative password can create mailing lists. In addition, a printing function makes it possible to provide printed copies to association members. The administrator page also provides feedback on how the KnowingTree is being used.
